Introduction

As the Structural Hull Designer, you work closely with Engineers and other Designers to accurately interpret the engineering design and ensure the design is accurately captured in the 2D/3D design software. You are responsible for ensuring the design produces fit for purpose results in a constructable and organized drawing. As the Structural Hull Designer, you will ensure application of best practices into design work, and you are accountable to the Discipline Manager and/or Discipline Lead for overall performance.

Function

– Producing technical drawings in support of engineering activities;
– Develop 3D AVEVA Marine Hull model and produce deliverables in accordance with contract requirements;
– Produce/Extract 2D Drawings with adequate dimensions necessary to assist the Engineering disciplines;
– Perform discipline interface checks, identify conflicts, and take corrective action in coordination with other engineering discipline inputs;
– Prepare MTO, review vendor drawings, ensuring vendor specifications are in full compliance with contract requirements;
– Provide clarification and technical support.

Requirements

– 5+ years relevant experience in ship structural design and offshore Oil & Gas industry with specific experience on Hull Design of Offshore Oil and Gas facilities;
– Expert user AutoCad and AVEVA Marine;
– Exposure to EPC environments;
– Knowledge of basic & detailed Engineering projects.
