Marine (System) Engineer

Rotterdam area


As a Marine Engineer, you are expected to be familiar with spaces within the hull and utilize your knowledge of engineering principles and procedures in the design of marine systems. You are responsible for identifying innovative methods to carry out assigned tasks, ensuring all required marine systems are functional and accounted for within a design, and are compliant with internal and external requirements. You must be familiar with marine systems and associated materials/equipment needed to design functional systems to meet client and company needs. You may be assigned as a Package Engineer with technical responsibility for the design, procurement and manufacture of the Package. The Marine Engineer must prioritize activities and liaise with other Discipline Leads as needed to ensure deliverables.


– You’re responsible for taking the role of a fully competent Marine Engineer on projects;
– You will contribute to delivering high-quality and cost-effective Marine Systems designs of the company’s products;
РYou could be optionally requested to be on assignment in other company’s project offices or shipyards around the globe on short or long-term basis;


– You have at least a technical Bachelor degree combined with 5 years experience as a Marine (system) Engineer and Designer preferable in Pre-FEED, FEED and details phase;
– Good interface knowledge with related disciplines i.e. Naval, E&I, Piping, HVAC, Process, Technical Safety & Regulatory;
– Preferably working experience in/ with Shipyards, Shipboard Operation, Marine Equipment Vendor and Manufacturer;
– Have experience with review methods, such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, LOPA HP/LP Reports, SIF Reports etc.
