Introduction
We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation Engineer to design, integrate, and maintain control systems for complex offshore energy projects.
Function
- Develop and review instrumentation and control system designs, specifications, and datasheets;
- Select and specify field instruments, analyzers, control valves, and safety devices in accordance with project requirements and industry standards;
- Prepare and review technical documentation including P&IDs, cause & effect diagrams, and instrument loop diagrams;
- Interface with other engineering disciplines (mechanical, piping, electrical, process, structural) to ensure integration of instrumentation systems;
- Provide technical support during procurement, vendor follow-up, FAT/SAT, and site commissioning activities;
- Ensure compliance with international codes, project standards, and HSE requirements;
- Contribute to project planning, cost estimation, and reporting related to instrumentation scope.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or Control Engineering (or equivalent);
- 3+ years of relevant experience in the offshore oil & gas or energy sector;
- Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards (IEC, ISA, ATEX, SIL, etc.);
- Experience with instrumentation for process control, safety systems, and field instrumentation in hazardous areas;
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools such as SPI/INtools, AutoCAD, and E&I databases;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a practical, hands-on mindset;
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
