Function
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the design, analysis, and optimization of steel and concrete structures within the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors;
- Perform structural calculations including strength, stability, fatigue, and dynamic load assessments;
- Model and simulate structures using SACS, ANSYS, or StaadPro;
- Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (API, ISO, DNV, Eurocode, AISC, NORSOK);
- Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and documentation;
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, piping, process, electrical, Instrumentation);
- Provide technical support during fabrication, installation, and maintenance phases;
- Conduct integrity assessments, life extension studies, and modification analyses for existing structures;
- Contribute to innovative solutions in the energy transition, including offshore wind and hydrogen projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Offshore/Maritime Engineering;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in structural engineering within the oil, gas, or renewable energy industry;
- Proven experience with structural analysis software such as SACS, ANSYS, or StaadPro (knowledge of multiple tools is an advantage);
- Familiarity with international design codes and standards (API RP2A, ISO 19902, Eurocodes, DNV, AISC);
- Experience with fatigue analysis, buckling, and dynamic response analyses (wind, waves, seismic);
- Strong communication skills and experience working in multidisciplinary project teams;
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken (Dutch is an advantage).
